Pegnitztal Railway 1877 - 2002

125th Anniversary

DB ICE TD Class 605
ICE TD, Class 605

Each of these photos has been made on the rally to Hersbruck r. d. Peg. and the parade there on July 13th 2002. The weather was tricky, therefore the time of exposure is sometimes a little bit long, due to the limitations of the simple pocket camera. Besides I just want to enjoy the whole atmosphere during such events. (Thus the photos were made in addition and provide documentary character at best. The hunting for shots I leave to others. (Those, who do it with complete - yet almost worrying - doggedness ;-)
On July 14th shuttle services took place between Hersbruck r. d. Peg. and Nuremberg additional special trips in the upper Pegnitz valley and shuttle services with the Schienenbus (Engl.: rail coach) Vt 98 in the Schnaittach valley and through the Lehen valley to Amberg.
For the ICE TD Class 605, photo on the right, in Rückersdorf the view was for free. And not only this one.
